Across 28 reviews on Google, and the five Google puts on the listing are all five stars.

2001

Trading since

Registered as a business in the Grafton area since August 2001, and under the Wiblen Exhaust and Mechanical name since 2007.

4 days

Monday to Thursday

The shop runs 8am to 4pm, Monday through Thursday. Closed Friday and over the weekend, so ring ahead.

What we do

Two halves of the same shop.

Exhaust work on one side, general mechanical on the other. Most of what comes through the roller door is one of these five things.

Exhaust repairs

Blown pipe, rotten section, muffler gone through. Bring it in and we will work out what actually needs replacing rather than quoting the whole system.

Mufflers and systems

Muffler and exhaust work is the half of the business the sign is named after. Repair or replace, on old gear and new.

Custom pipe work

Fabricated work rather than a parts swap. Turbo down pipes and one off systems, built to fit the car in front of us.

Mechanical servicing

General mechanical repairs and servicing, the ordinary running work that keeps a car on the road.

Fault finding

Down on power, or making a noise you cannot place. We will find it and tell you plainly what it is before anything gets done.

Older cars are ordinary here, not a special occasion. A 74 Corolla, a Gemini, a Nissan Patrol that has done some kilometres: they all turn up in the reviews, and they all turn up on the hoist.

Exhaust work

A repair, not a whole new system, when a repair will do.

An exhaust rarely fails all at once. Plenty of jobs are a section, a joint or a muffler, and quoting the lot when a section will do is how people end up paying twice what they needed to.

  • Repairs to a failed section, joint or hanger
  • Muffler repair and replacement
  • Full system replacement, when the system really is gone
  • Custom pipe work built to fit, including turbo down pipes

In and around the shop

What tends to be parked out the front.

Photos from the shop itself. Some of it is up on the hoist, some of it is just what turns up on a Thursday.

The shop

Trading since 2001, still four days a week.

Wiblen Exhaust & Mechanical has been registered as a business in the Grafton area since August 2001, trading under this name since 2007. It is a small shop on Ryan Street in South Grafton doing exhaust and mechanical work for the Clarence Valley.

A fair bit of the work walks in unplanned. One reviewer was on his way from Brisbane back to Sydney when his van started losing power, found the shop on Google, and had the fault traced to the exhaust and fixed in less than thirty minutes.

“He takes the time to explain what the problem is, and gives good, fair advice, on how to fix the issue.”

Had always heard good reports of this place over the years, and I needed a repair done to my old Nissan Patrols exhaust. John was friendly and easy to deal with, got me booked in quickly, and fast turn around on the job, all this great service at a very reasonable price. Thanks very much I will be returning for more work in the future.
